Janice 27, married with a 6 years old son. Her husband and mother will look after her child, if she works in Singapore to support the family. Janice is from Cagayan Valley, Philippines.
Janice described herself as hardworking, honest and diligent. She spends most of her free time in gardening and bonding with her son.
Her highest academic qualification is high school, equivalent to Spore's Sec School standard.
2 years (2016 - 2018) as a helper in Saudi Arabia.
Janice worked in a 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets unit in a family of 6 with 4 children aged 4, 8, 10 and 12 years old. Her daily routine involved preparing and cooking the family meals, clean the house and looked after the children, especially the 4 years old. Janice bath him, prepare his meal, fed him and teach him mannerism.
Janice cited that if the child is sick, she would alert her employer and wait for instructions.
Should a child doesn’t like her for whatever reasons, she would try to find out and learn the child likes and dislikes, slowly engaged the child. Children can be playful sometime, Janice would be patient and play along with the child but ensure safety. When come to road crossing, she would carry the child or hold the hand of the child to secure them.
When a baby cried, she would pacify him/her, prepare and feed milk, if baby is hungry, change diaper, if soiled and also check if baby is having fever, if so, alert employer. Janice, would wash her hand before she comes in contact with baby, especially when she prepares the milk. Prior to it, she would wash and sterilize the bottle.
Janice treats each child as if it was her own, gain their trust and affection, as for baby, she would need to be extra alert and attentive.
As for looking after elderly, she must be patient with them. She is knowledgeable in transferring elderly from bed to wheelchair and vice versa. If the elderly throws tantrum, she would be patient and communicate with elderly respectfully.
If she works in a big house, Janice would make her schedule to accomplish the daily tasks. Her contract wasn’t renew because she wanted to explore and enhance her skill in other country.
For Janice, she builds good relationship with her employer by being patient, doing her job well and treating them as her family members.
Janice cooks Filipino and Arabic dishes such as adobo, she is keen to learn to cook Chinese and any other dishes as well.
She is willing to take care of children and infant.
She is willing to look after pets.
She will follow the employer's instruction regarding handphone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own handphone after work hour.
Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper, this will be stated in the Job Offer.
The helper is entitled to weekly off-day or at least 1 off-day per month and the other 3 working off-days, she will be compensated accordingly.

She is aware that she will enter a 2 years contract with her future employer.
In summary, Janice is an experience helper, mature and ready to take on new challenge. She cooks, does laundry and ironing work. She is willing to look after children and/or infants and pets.
